Can Dogs Eat Mulberries?

SafeRipe Only, Small Amounts

Yes. Ripe mulberries in small amounts are generally safe for dogs.

Why

Ripe mulberries carry no major toxicity concern. Unripe mulberries and the plant's sap can cause mild GI upset, so ripe, dark fruit is the better choice if offering any.

Serving tips

  • Only offer fully ripe (dark purple/black) mulberries
  • A small handful is a reasonable serving
  • Keep dogs from grazing directly on an unsupervised mulberry tree
