Small amounts of fresh pineapple flesh are generally fine, but its acidity and sugar content mean it should be an occasional treat, not a regular one.
Pineapple isn't toxic to dogs, but its natural acidity can cause mouth or stomach irritation and its sugar content is higher than many other fruits. The core and skin are tough and better avoided as they're harder to digest and can pose a choking risk.
